TED NUGENT - "Little Miss Dangerous"
TED NUGENT - "Little Miss Dangerous"

March 1986
I cannot seem to find the specific day in March 1986 for when the legendary guitarist, the Motor City Madman himself, TED NUGENT's ninth studio album Little Miss Dangerous came out. I have seen that some people say it is March 15, 1986, but I cannot confirm that. The album features Ted Nugent on lead guitar and vocals. Dave Amato plays rhythm guitar and sings some parts. Ricky Phillips plays bass and Michael Mason is on drums. The songs on the album are "High Heels in Motion," "Strangers," "Little Miss Dangerous," "Savage Dancer," and "Crazy Ladies." The second side includes "When Your Body Talks," "My Little Red Book," "Take Me Away," "Angry Young Man," and "Painkiller."
This particular album has a connection to the TV show Miami Vice because the show featured some of this music, and Ted himself appeared on the show! They gave him a bad-guy role, and I've seen the clips on YouTube, and Ted is, let's say, taking care of business the hard way because the nice way apparently doesn't work with people in Miami ha ha!
Anyway, here is the title track. It's a smooth midtempo song with a lot of groove. I think I have read that Ted was under pressure from the record label executives to adapt more to the 1980s MTV sound, so this is not really the type of production that he would prefer. He likes a rowdier sound. He feels that this production is little too slick, let's say, but the song is good and the musicianship is good. Personally, I don't mind the production, either. Either way, it's still Ted Nugent!
