Biography: CRYSTAL VIPER is an international female fronted heavy metal act, founded by the singer, guitarist and composer Marta Gabriel. Regular touring and festival appearances in more than 15 countries, 7 studio albums, and bunch of singles and EP releases the band did since 2007, established their position, and made them known as one of the most hard working and most determined bands of their generation.

During first three years Crystal Viper was a project featuring Marta Gabriel and other musicians, with whom she recorded bunch of demo and rehearsal tapes, compilation tracks, and with whom she played several local live shows. In the summer of 2006 the first official line up got established, and Crystal Viper turned from a project into a regular band, with Marta Gabriel as vocalist and composer, Andy Wave (real name Lukasz Halczuch) on guitar, Tomek "Golem" Danczak on drums and Tommy Targosz on bass guitar. The same year the band recorded their first official track (cover version of "Flaming Metal Systems" for the Manilla Road tribute album), and inked a deal with the German label Karthago Records. The debut concept album entitled "The Curse Of Crystal Viper" came out in early 2007, and was by "The Last Axeman" EP (2008). The second studio album, entitled "Metal Nation" - featuring new bass guitarist, Tomasz Woryna, and co-produced by the King Diamond guitarist Andy La Rocque - was released in 2009. Between 2006 and 2009 Crystal Viper was a four piece band in the studio and a five piece band on stage, featuring different musicians at the position of the live rhythm guitarist, until Marta took over the duties of a rhythm guitarist as well. Since then, Crystal Viper is a four piece act both in the studio and on stage.

In 2009 Crystal Viper signed a multiple record deal with AFM Records. The third studio album entitled "Legends" (with lyrics based on old Polish legends and stories) came out in 2010, and in 2012 was followed by "Crimen Excepta" - concept effort about witches and holy inquisition. Due to occupational obligations Tomasz Woryna was forced to take lesser part in band's activity, and most of the bass guitar parts on "Crimen Excepta" were recorded by Marta Gabriel. The band didn't stop to tour, so Michal Badocha stepped in as the new bass player. In 2013, after several live shows in countries such as Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and Denmark, Crystal Viper returned to the studio to record the fifth studio album, "Possession". Sadly soon after its premiere, due to health issues relating to the band's front woman and founder, Marta Gabriel, the band was forced to stop its activity. In 2013, for the first time since 2006, after regular touring in 15 countries, and after releasing 5 studio albums, 7 singles and compilations - the future of Crystal Viper was placed into question...

In the fall of 2016, the band finally broke the silence: the witch is back! The comeback album entitled "Queen Of The Witches", was released after a four-year silence, in February 2017. Like all the previous ones, the album has been produced by Bart Gabriel (known for his collaboration with acts such as CirithUngol, Pagan Altar, Hexx or Sacred Steel). The album's cover artwork has been created by the legendary German artist, Andreas Marschall, known for the iconic artworks which he created for acts such as Running Wild, Bilnd Guardian or Kreator. "Queen Of The Witches" is also the first Crystal Viper album recorded with the new bass player, Blaze J. Grygiel. As it's already a tradition that Crystal Viper pays a tribute to the classic '80s Metal acts of which legacy they proudly continue, it couldn't be different this time, and the band both invited several special guests to take part in the recordings, as well as recorded two cover songs, for the CD and the LP version of the album respectively. The Manowar co-founder and guitar hero Ross The Boss appears in the headbanging hymn entitled "Do Or Die", while Mantas of Venom slays a shredding guitar solo in the speed Metal monster entitled "Flames And Blood". Except that, in the surprising power ballad entitled "We Will Make It Last Forever", Marta shares vocal duties with Steve Bettney, vocalist of the NWoBHM cult heroes Saracen. The album has been promoted by two video clips, and a European Tour in March and April 2017, during which the band visited Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland.

In 4 June 2018, rhythm guitarist Eric Juris joined the band.

His career spans decades, going back to the 1980s (at least), Greg Howe has covered various styles of music, as you will see by some of the YouTube videos below.

In his 30 year career, Greg Howe has produced, written and arranged ten solo instrumental studio albums along with two collaboration albums with Richie Kotzen of the Winery Dogs. In addition, Howe has contributed to a long list of albums/records by other artists.

Howe has also developed a solid reputation as a technical innovator, particularly for his strong utilization of tapping, unusual time signatures and his "hammer-on from nowhere" legato method. His self-titled debut album "Greg Howe" is ranked tenth best shred album of all time by Guitar World Magazine. His more recent efforts have found him going deeper into fusion territory with a series of albums that pull from rock, funk, blues and jazz traditions, while exploring the boundaries of what's possible on a six-string.

Greg Howe has collaborated with artists such as Richie Kotzen, Dennis Chambers, Simon Phillips, Victor Wooten, Jason Becker, Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, Marco Minneman, and Eddie Jobson.

He's also made a name for himself as a stellar sideman and session musician with artists like Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, and many more. His TV appearances include The Grammy's, American Music Awards, The Tonight Show, The Today Show, The Billboard Awards, Teen Choice Awards, just to name a few.

In 2006, Shrapnel Records celebrated Greg's 20 year career with "Collection - The Shrapnel Years" - an album containing some of his best musical moments - comprised of shred fest ditties such as "Bad Racket" and "Joker's Wild," as well as the popular "Jump Start" and the funky "Howe 'Bout It." Easton, PA's Greg Howe was a breath of fresh air amidst the seemingly never-ending stream of harmonic minor guitar virtuosos pouring forth from the Shrapnel Records label in the late '80s. While other post-Yngwie Malmsteen players of the "shred guitar" genre were pursuing the dramatic neo-classical vein, Howe brought a sense of funk and groove to the table that was sorely needed. Howe paid his dues playing the Easton/Allentown club circuit in the '80s with the band Duke, featuring his brother Al on lead vocals. When one of his instrumental demos grabbed the ear of talent scout and Shrapnel Records owner Mike Varney, Howe was signed to the Shrapnel label in 1987.

His all-instrumental debut, Greg Howe, featuring the talents of Billy Sheehan and Atma Anur on bass and drums, respectively, was released in 1988, to considerable acclaim. Howe's second album, High Gear, released under the moniker Howe 2, was less a solo album than a Van Halen-styled band effort, featuring his brother Al Howe on lead vocals. The band broke up after releasing its more commercially minded follow-up, Now Hear This, in 1990 and Greg Howe returned to making all-instrumental albums in his home studio, taking a decidedly more fusion-styled direction.

Howe released Introspection in 1993 and Uncertain Terms in 1994 and has continued to produce albums at a prolific rate since then. Aside from releasing Parallax and Five in 1995 and 1996, respectively, Howe collaborated with fellow Pennsylvania virtuoso and Shrapnel labelmate Richie Kotzen on the Tilt album in 1995 and again on 1997's Richie Kotzen/Greg Howe Project. Biography: Holy Moses no longer have anything to prove to the international metal scene. Their multi- faceted thrash metal, front woman Sabina Classen's charismatic voice and their unique mix of traditional attitude and experimental evolvement have been instrumental in establishing the band as a known quantity since the beginning of their career in the early 1980s.

Their current album release Redefined Mayhem is a prime example of an album which expertly blends past and present. "Holy Moses have never released standard thrash songs, and we never will," Sabina Classen explains with some pride. "We write songs which we like ourselves and don't compromise in terms of trends and concessions to wrong expectations. We don't have to please everybody, we're our own brand, we have our own sound, which includes the occasional odd beat, technically demanding passages and unusual chord structures as well as interesting lyrics which deal with the dark side of people and their minds." That Holy Moses mark 2014 don't show any symptoms of fatigue is mainly due to their perfect balance consisting of founder members and musicians who have played in other groups: vocalist Sabina Classen has been the voice and face of Holy Moses since 1981, bassist Thomas Neitsch has been in the band for six years, drummer Gerd Lücking joined the fold three years ago, and guitarist Peter Geltat was enlisted in 2012, supporting his colleagues immediately in a number of successful shows such as the Barge To Hell Cruise 2012. "This is Holy Moses mark 2014, and Redefined Mayhem defines a new chapter of our band history," explains Sabina Classen, adding: "We had to redefine ourselves as a band and gel as a team. There were people who voiced their doubts that it would work. But the new songs prove beyond all doubt that Holy Moses continue to be a force to be reckoned with." Last autumn, Holy Moses recorded a total of 13 new tracks at Sabina Classen and Thomas Neitsch's own studio (Neitsch also producing the album); Redefined Mayhem was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Dark Tranquility, Extol) in Denmark. Dead Samaritan (Finland) is hinting that the new music is coming: "'I'll Be Damned'" is the first song off Dead Samaritan's next studio effort, a five song EP entitled Come 'Plague upon Us'. Expect a fall 2020 release."

"Death/thrash metal band from Finland. The band started in early January 2001, but took the name Dead Samaritan in 2003. After three demos the year 2005 was spent doing gigs, but then the band had to take a long hiatus because of line-up changes, studying and other personal matters. In 2009 three new members, guitarist Matti Viholainen, bassist Eero Virtanen and vocalist Valendis Suomalainen were recruited to the ranks. Valendis is known from the band Herem. 2012 December saw the worldwide release of Dead Samaritan's debut album entitled The Only Good Samaritan... published via UK's Casket Music. The sophomore album The Devil Tunes was released on 12th of Sept. 2014. 2019 will see the release of Shadows EP. The band is also recording the next, five-song EP as we speak."

The Texas-based symphonic metal band Tulip has been working hard to keep the content coming for the fans. Their album High Strangeness came out earlier in 2020. Since then, they have been making various types of videos and posting them on YouTube. Forged in the fire of excommunication, Texan transplants ‘Tulip’ deliver their own brand of symphonic metal, spearheaded by ex-professional opera vocalist Ashleigh Semkiw, and Colin Parrish on guitar. Emerging together for the first time in September 2018, the members of Tulip are established artists, having performed for a decade in their respective past acts; Ashleigh in professional opera, Brandon with ONI throughout Europe alongside the likes of Children of Bodom and Lamb Of God, Ryan sessioning across the USA and Canada, and co-lead member Colin as an accomplished recording and mix engineer. 'TULIP', their self-titled debut EP was self written, recorded and mixed, and was mastered by the legendary Troy Glessner (Devin Townsend, August Burns Red, Disturbed). The five song collection delivers symphonic metal with a modern groove oriented twist.

Following their first US tour with Swedish metal outfit Evergrey, Tulip went even further with their next recorded effort. The upcoming LP "High Strangeness” boasts twelve tracks of bone crushing drums, searing guitars and masterful vocals underpinned with full orchestration and layered synths.

"AFROMETALOKALYPSE Volume One" is a compilation of bands from Kenya. This collection includes: The Seeds of Datura, Chovu, Mortal Soul, Powerslide, and Lust of A Dying Breed. Out of these bands this publication has covered before: The Seeds of Datura, Mortal Soul, and Lust of A Dying Breed. Chovu is a new band to this publication and their song sounds pretty heavy. We do not have much information about Chovu yet. Powerslide is also new to this publication. They are not as heavy and intense as the other bands because they are more in the style of punk/post-punk. Below you will a find recording by them that is on Bandcamp as well as other recordings by all the other bands, except Chovu (we were unable to find their music at this moment).

"Afrometalokalypse is the first ever compilation of Kenyan metal music and it is intended to be an annual collection of the best new metal for each new year. The metal scene has persevered over the years despite access to most of things other people would call standard. In particular it should be known, there is absence of professional recording facilities available to independent artists. This can be overcome by recording everything in bits and pieces in various bedroom studios and the like. This compilation celebrates this particular mode of music production - all the songs on the album having been produced in nothing greater than a humble home studio.

As musicians oursleves we know nothing beats having a full time facility with the capability of recording multiple artists at the same time. Having access to such a facility for the extended periods of time that is needed to produce rock and metal has been amongst our greatest challenges in Kenya. This is why all of the proceeds of this album will go toward the rent of a new studio facility once the COVID-19 quarantine and lockdown measures have been opened back up in Kenya.

Biography: “We’re three sisters from Monterrey, México. We love music.”

It all started back in 2005 when Daniela was five and Paulina was three years old and had their first experience with music when attending a summer camp with music and theatre activities. They liked it very much and started attending regularly to music and drama classes and about a year later they both enrolled in piano lessons. They listened from children’s songs and lullabies to straight up Rock N’ Roll AC/DC and new stuff like Muse.

Fast forward a couple years later in 2007 when Daniela turned 8 and Paulina 6 and the most popular video game in the world was ROCK BAND. This was a huge influence on which instruments the girls would start playing next. Daniela, since she always grabbed the toy guitar used on the video game, thought it would be a great idea to take on the strings without quitting her piano lessons. Paulina felt it was a total injustice that her older sister could start playing another instrument and she wasn’t. Again, thanks to ROCK BAND, her parents noticed she had a great sense of rhythm and coordination, so they enrolled her in drum lessons where she could play on a real drum set.

Alejandra, being the youngest, had a whole different approach to music. She had to wait until she was five years old to enroll in piano and music lessons. Being raised in a house full of music and the role models that her older sisters came to be for her always kept her motivated to take a leap into music properly. It took her a lot of music-video-binging for her to realize she wanted to try out bass guitar, because she really loved the sound it made.

“Many people assume our parents are musicians, but they are not. They just share with us our love and passion for music.”

The girls never planned to form a band, especially since Alejandra was really small (in age and size). The girls just liked playing music. It was a Christmas Holiday’s school festival where Daniela and Paulina decided to play together a song that they had been working on separately. Of course, they needed a bass guitar to complete the power trio and thought it would be a great idea to have Alejandra play with them regardless of her being smaller. The girls played even better than they expected and Alejandra could handle the bass lines as if she had been playing for years.

They satisfaction and enjoyment of that first musical experience on stage was so big that they started practicing more songs together, setting higher goals for each on their instrument, goals that they saw and heard in music from the Rock N’ Roll bands they loved listening to.

They started videotaping those rehearsals and uploading them to their YouTube channel, where they had a few followers and with time started gaining more. But it wasn’t until they uploaded a cover for the song “Enter Sandman” by the band Metallica. This one broke the internet.

In just a few days it went viral and millions of people from all around the world became hardcore fans of THE WARNING, setting of a series of events that would kick the girls into the musical scene in a way nobody expected.

In January 2015 they recorded their first EP with songs written and performed by them. Playing and experimenting through different styles and genres they found that hard rock and metal was the kind of music they loved playing.

By this time, the sisters had a dream: attending a five-week summer course at Berklee College of Music. They created a GoFundMe campaign to raise the money they needed to go attend the summer course. The Ellen DeGeneres Show found the girl’s viral video online and invited them to appear in the show for an interview and performance. Thanks to the huge support that Ellen showed to the girls and the significant fan base they had gained in their social media, they raised the money to attend to Berklee, where the talk show also followed and documented the girl’s experience during their summer course for EllenTube.

Inspired by THE WARNING’s achievements by this time, the American video game developers Harmonix Music Systems were aware that their Rock Band video game had been the catalyst for this online phenomena, so they reached out to the girls, invited them to visit their facilities and included their single Free Falling in the latest version of the game, Rock Band 4.

FUN FACT: During their visit at Harmonix they were asked by the developers to play their own song on the new Rock Band 4 console.

By this time they started receiving offers to play in different venues around the U.S.A. and México. During the time of these shows and different stages they started the songwriting process for their first LP.

In mid-2016 they started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money and produce their first album independently. During 2016 they worked in the recordings, editing and mixing of 13 songs written by them and included in their first studio LP: XXI CENTURY BLOOD.

The funding campaign was successful and “XXI CENTURY BLOOD” was released on March 27th, 2017 along with a music video for their first single also titled “XXI Century Blood”.

The album was successful. People from all around the world were listening to and buying the album, to the point of getting tons of international fans and some of them even came over to Mexico just to see them play live.

The Warning has grown a lot since then. In 2017 they were invited to open for Def Leppard in Mexico City and Guadalajara. They also played in the Mother of All Rock Festival along with bands like Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil, Tesla, among others. In 2018 they opened two dates for The Killers in Monterrey and played in the Hell&Heaven festival in Mexico City and ForceFest in Teotihuacán, two of the most important Rock festivals in Latin America to amazing response. They also made a Mexico tour “Power Trio Tour” along with argentinian band “Eruca Sativa”.

During the second half of 2017 and first half of 2018 they worked on what would be their second full-length studio album. In summer 2018 they launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the album and keep the project independent. The campaign was a huge success and in august 2018 they recorded their second album “Queen Of The Murder Scene” in SOGA Studios in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

“Queen Of The Murder Scene” was released Novermber 25th 2018, the band debuted the album live that same date on a sold out show at Lunario in Mexico City.

Biography: Lelahell are one of Algerian newer extreme metal groups. In 2010 Redouane Aouameur (A.k.a Lelahel) who is no stranger to the Algerian metal scene as he has already been in other bands including (Neanderthalia, Litham, Carnavage and Devast) Founded It. Following the completion of ‘Al Intihar’ EP, fellow Algerian metallers Slave Blaster and Nihil, completed the group in January 2012. In August 2012 “Goressimo Records” officially released the band’s debut EP.

In March 2013 the band played for the first time in France as part of the “Skull Krusher Death Fest” and was very well received by the Metal fans. In summer of the same year LELAHELL embarked for their first European Tour, which took them to France, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The first full length album of Lelahell “Al Insane ...The (Re)Birth of Abderrahmane " mixed and mastered by “Ivan of Anthropocide Studio” and released the 5th of august 2014 by Horror Pain Gore Death Productions (Coffins, Haemorrhage, Abcess,..) From USA. One month later Lelahell played in "Malta death fest III" one of the biggest metal festivals on the island.

LELAHELL toured Europe in support of their new album "Al Insane... The (Re)Birth Of Abderrahmane". The tour, took place from 19th to 28th December 2014, and the band had shows at Switzerland, France, Germany, Poland and Czech Republic.

Dreamlore issue new video for "Heart Full of Hell"

Dreamlore is death metal from El Salvador. In May 2020 they debuted a new official video for the song "Heart Full of Hell." In 2019 they issued a song called "End of a Nightmare." Below you will find both and the band's official information, and an full album called The Machinery of Misery available at Bandcamp.

Biography: Dreamlore was founded in early 2003, as a project of members from different bands that were beginning to dissolve by then; the original concept was to have a solid band, fully dedicated to create heavy / aggressive music, combining aspects of Death Metal with distinctive Thrash Metal influences.

The band recorded one full length album and one split CD with its original line-up - Manuel Revelo (guitars), Rex A. Fernandez (guitar), Roberto Burgos (vocals), Julio Rodas (bass) & Boris Rodas (drums); which took them to perform in different countries in the Latin America.

After recording 2 additional albums, 1 single, line up changes and the tragic loss of drummer Jose Salomon, the band has renewed again and is still going strong creating music.

The Colombian crossover band Sin Pudor recently posted a new recording of a song called "QUÉ MÁS DA." Check it out below. This is their biography.

Biography: Sin Pudor is a Bogota Punk Thrash band, it emerged in 2006, as a musical project that allows expressing a position regarding the world, the body, the rejection and boredom of everyday life. Through the years, it has managed to sound the national and international scene, thus achieving recognition abroad as one of the most representative proposals of its kind. Despite several lineup changes, Sin Pudor has always had mostly female members, making it a hallmark of the band; their staging is charged with aggressiveness and empathy with the public that transcends certain musical labels. In their compositions they experiment with fast-paced riffs, bass drum phrasings, ragged voices that account for various influences. Their shows manage to integrate different audiences and musical tastes around an attractive stage management, which seeks to renew itself in each concert, with Sin Pudor's greatest strength being its live performances.

Throughout these years, Sin Pudor has participated in different concerts, and festivals among which are: Manizales Grita Rock, Ibagué Ciudad Rock, Bogotrax, Usme Extremo, Festival the Most Vagabond, Noise Day I, Noise Day II, Devil's Festival Concerts with national and international bands in which they have shared the stage with renowned bands on the national, foreign and international scene, key documentary participation and censored documentary noise.

In turn, they have had the opportunity to make international tours: the Toad Suck Your Mother Tour (Ecuador) 2008, QuituRaymi 2013 (Ecuador) and the Impudika USA East Coast 2014 Tour (USA) which consisted of eight North American cities (New York, Chicago , Philadelphia, Baltimore, Wisconsin, Detroit, Whasington). Metal Archives lists four recordings for LadyAxe. The most recent one is called Underground (2019). Check it out below and see this official information about LadyAxe.

Female Doom/ Power Metal with subject matter in Viking/ Norse/ Finnish Mythology and the occult. Axe was the first female heavy metal artist in South Africa, back in 1992-3. It was a tough time to bring a female power metal artist in amongst the new wave of death metal that just took over the country, but she persisted, being billed mainly with Goth acts through Inhouse Records that came to a scandalous fall of not paying their artists.

After over a decade of obscurity, she resurfaced with “The Invitation”, the end credit song to UK horror film, THE GHOSTS OF CROWLEY HALL.

For fear of copyright issues with the deodorant brand that surfaced in the meantime, her name was changed from Axe to LadyAxe (ONE word) and was the name used from there on in.

In 2009 LadyAxe headlined the Windhoek Metalfest in Namibia, making history as the first time a metal band featured three generations of females from the same family. It was a once-off feat, but proved the unpredictable nature of LadyAxe.

Subsequently she recorded various demo's of the songs they played at the WMF, but with lack of funding to record a proper studio album, Axe posted said demo's mainly on Reverbnation.

The demo compilation, "DEMOnized", was released in June 2015, due to popular demand for all the old Axe and LadyAxe demo's that have only been heard live before. There was no reason to re-record over two decades’ worth of music, now that LadyAxe changer her style, so it remained in demo form, which explains the name of the release.

Later in 2015, LadyAxe recorded her first EP, the long awaited, "Ásatrú", to showcase the true punch she delivers with her tribal/ Viking influences rooted in her music and lyrics. Although the EP has better quality sound, the drumming was still left up to midi sequences because of a lack of space/ drummers — the only thing LadyAxe admitted she hates about “Ásatrú”.

On 14 December 2018, LadyAxe released her first full-length album, “In the Lair of the Bear Mother”. Recorded in a store room at her house in Ireland, it is a semi-conceptual album that was released at the same time as her novel “Animosity” and the two works run concurrently in subject matter. This is a rare, if not unprecedented combination of two differing media used in conjunction and the one explains the other, so to speak.

“In the Lair of the Bear Mother” boasts a lot of LadyAxe’s musician friends from all over the world collaborating on various songs in various capacities, which makes it an eclectic cauldron of gumbo. Norse mythology meets Southern Voodoo, metal ladies from the USA, Colombia, Canada and South Africa chant on a song about metal women and a Greek titan is invoked to conjure a desire on Samhain night.

Especially for Halloween 2019, LadyAxe wrote, played and recorded the retro, lo-fi Doom offering, “Underground”, featuring guest spots from Anushka Draven from black metal act, Dunkelheit. All hard copy sales of this album contains a novella of short stories that coincide with each song on the album called “Bear Mother Speaks: Underground Tales”.

After years of struggling to get into a proper studio, LadyAxe is certain of one thing – the metal will not stop and she will keep delivering for those who appreciate the esoteric nature of her music.

Check out the new album called Immortech by the death metal band Grace Disgraced (Russia). Bandcamp has the entire new album ready for your listening.

Biography: The band was founded in 2004 in Moscow by its permanent female vocalist Polina “Grace Dis” Berezko. In 2005 Aleksandr Klaptsov (guitar) joined the band – and now he is the band’s main composer . The first gig took place in famous R-club in May 2005. Although the style couldn’t be identified as death metal, the fiery mix of heavy, black and thrash drew public attention and there followed a set of gigs in Moscow, Tula, Taganrog, Rostov-on-Don. Grace Disgraced recorded their first demo “Natural Death” in winter 2005-2006. Then some years of constant line-up changes followed.

In 2009 the band was ready to record their EP “Materialized Expectation” on NAVAHOHUT studio. The EP was brought out on MOREHATE Prod. within a 4-way split. In 2010 Yury Korotovskikh (ex-“Rest in Pain”, “Fatal Band”, “Drauggard”) joined the band as a bass-player and Andrey Ischenko (ex-“Hieronymus Bosch”, ex-“Scrambled Defuncts”, ex-“Mortem”) – as a drummer. These members contributed to the recording of Grace Disgraced first full-length album “Enthrallment Traced”. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Arkady Navaho in 2010 – 2011. Meanwhile there were again some personnel rearrangements which took place – Andrey Andreev (ex-"Scream in Darkness", ex-"Formalin") became GD’s bass-player instead of Yury Korotovskikh. Andrey’s playing perfectly fits in the musical concept of the band.

After the first album “Enthrallment Traced” publication in 2012 the band went touring in Ukraine with 2 Italian bands “Homicide Hagridden” and “Black Propoganda”. It is worth saying that the debut LP was warmly accepted in Europe, and a great number of positive reviews from abroad is a telling argument. In the beginning of 2013 the Russian tour followed, then a row of shows in Moscow and other cities. At the same time the band worked on their second LP, which was recorded on NAVAHOHUT studio again. Promo-track from this album “She Smells Death” has become a real hit on “Russian Death Metal” CD-compilation, and Grace Disgraced played as a headliner at the compilation’s presentation in Krasnodar in January 2014. In March 2014 a new drummer Vladimir Lyashkov (ex-“Beheaded Zombie”, ex-“Nabaath”, “Decay of Reality”) joined the band. The band’s second full-length album “The Primal Cause: Womanumental” was released in April 2015, followed by its presentation in Moscow and a European tour. The album was also released on Razed Soul Prod. in the USA. The 2015 line-up is marked with the returning of legendary Andrey Ischenko and the fretless bass of Pavel Semin. This year has been devoted to the work on the third full-length album “Lasting Afterdeaths”, which is already recorded and will be released soon.

In some stories, people are scared of repugnant characters’ hideousness, violence, anger, yet somehow someone figures out that the ugly creature has some redeeming qualities, and that there is even a tiny bit of beauty within. Torrefy is like that character. When the packs of undomesticated pit bulls that roam Victoria, Canada see these bad hombres walking down the city’s filthy, crime-ridden, rat-infested, garbage-covered, rotting streets, those dogs quickly run away to the other side of the street. Why? They know! Gremlin-witch vocals, dirty thrashing guitars, obnoxiously speeds. It’s no wonder that these bandidos have been in and out of jail so much, and that their parents kicked them out of the house years ago. Victoria can’t wait for the day these Huns move away to the Yukon Territory, Siberia, Antarctica, or Seattle.

Do you remember a long time ago when this review said that “somehow someone figures out” that the monster has some good qualities? Well, friend, guess who? Guess who is that special someone that is able to see beyond the physically and sonically repulsiveness of Torrefy? It is you, friend! You are that special person that appreciates the inner beauty of the black thrash of Torrefy. Other people hear angry screaming, but you hear the fun, lunatic rantings possessed by the passion to make people mosh. From that point forward, the good times keep going and hopping, inviting thrashers to take someone else by the hand gently, and then wrestling them down to the mosh pit. These hooligans may be a bunch of anonymous alcoholics and have questionable hygiene habits, but this is their third album and they have been wrecking their necks for some nine years. They write headbanging mosh songs. They shred. It’s fun, filthy metal. That is how they redeem themselves.

The debut album "Travel To Uncertain Grounds" by German instrumental outfit Gruppe Planet is now set to be released for August 7th, 2020 as limited Vinyl 2LP and Digital! GRUPPE PLANET is a german band whose musicians are scattered across the country: Berlin, Hamburg & Jena. The members might already be known from acts such as HEAVEN SHALL BURN, DÉCEMBRE NOIR, DŸSE or A DOG CALLED EGO. But all this information does not help when it comes to the music, the four-piece is offering.

First of all: there are no vocals. GRUPPE PLANET is fully instrumental. Secondly: Do not expect death or black metal or experimental rock. GRUPPE PLANET is different, in an astonishingly good way. Thirdly: be prepared for electronics, synths and ambient noises to come into play. GRUPPE PLANET is following their intuition and emotions. Nothing more. Nothing less.

"Travel To Uncertain Grounds" marks the fine-layered debut of this German band. What is in the focus: searching for unflustered sounds, expanding creativity and challenging electronic textures & instrumental music. There is an uncanny narcotic power and elemental beauty to that record. Or to cite the title of GRUPPE PLANET's debut again: "Travel To Uncertain Grounds".

Royalty Kult Release Debut Single "Stay This Way"

Here are two songs by Royalty Kult from California, U.S.A. Their album will be called Enjoying The End.

Hard rock/alternative California duo, Josuha Micheal and David Fulford-Brown, form Royalty Kult. The band is proud to bring you their debut single "Stay This Way" and have released that along with the song "Bleeding Possibilities." Both tracks will be on their upcoming album, Enjoying The End.

Ivano-Frankivsk (UKR) - Post/Progressive Metal band NUG will release new album Alter Ego August 14 on Willowtip Records. The album's first single, "Beast / Звір," is streaming at YouTube and Bandcamp. NUG issued the following statement concerning the new album:

"This album is a kind of checkpoint for us. For a very long time, we all (together and separately) spent a lot of time on the music, and in this material coded our feelings, thoughts, emotions, hopes, and finally, the particles of our lives.
