July 19 is the anniversary of A Way Out, the third studio album by progressive metal band Distorted Harmony. Following their first two records, A Way Out saw the band continue their melodic, intelligent brand of prog metal. Packed with modern rhythms, soaring clean vocals, and lush keyboard soundscapes, the album bridges the gap between the heavy chug of djent and the emotional depth of classic prog rock. On this album, the band operates at a very high level with their technical and songwriting abilities. This is an interesting album in modern progressive metal that I have been enjoying. The Metal Archives notes that Distorted Harmony was active between 2009 and 2018, and after that, there is no more information.
