The Metal Archives shows that the band was active 1989-2012.
"Seventh Avenue was a Christian metal band from Wolfsburg, Germany, formed in 1989. Consisting of guitarist/vocalist Herbie Langhans, guitarist Florian Gottsleben, bassist Markus Beck, and drummer Mike Pflüger, Seventh Avenue played a hybrid style of speed and power metal with a focus on melodies. They released six albums and two EPs. The band launched a demo titled First Strike in 1993, but the loss of their guitarist delayed their first album, Rainbowland, until 1995. They then signed with Treasure Hunt Records. Their first release on this label, Tales of Tales, topped at No. 18 on the Japanese heavy metal charts. The 1998 release Southgate was licensed to Megahard Records for release in Brazil, where the band subsequently toured." -Wikipedia

"Listening to this album feels like watching a grandiose film about warriors of God throughout the ages. Straight from the opening, this has a cinematic feel to it, but without losing a very solid melodeath edge. 'Serenity's Embrace' is one of the coolest instrumentals I've heard in this genre and 'Portent of Flame' is a fantastic rendition of the story of Elijah vs. the prophets of Baal. This album is going to be on repeat for a while! Favorite track: Portent of Flame." -J. Wright Reviews -Bandcamp comment

[The Metal Archives shows May 19, 2019 as the original/earliest release date.]
On The Metal Archives, HighwayCorsair, October 16th, 2019 writes, in part: "When Substratum broke up, I mourned. Though they were only around for a few short years, they put out three full length albums, a couple of demos, and a couple of splits – not to mention that they put on a hell of a live show. Things seemed to be on the rise for the band when out of nowhere they broke up with the sudden departure of guitarist and riffwriter Max. Fortunately for fans, Substratum’s loss doesn’t mean the loss of all of the musicians involved, and both guitarist Matt Vogan and vocalist Amy Lee Carlson have carried on and started a new band – Sölicitör. Sölicitör riffs as hard or harder than Substratum ever did, delivering an absolutely blistering dose of classic speed metal with the joy and ferocity you’d want of any biker metal squadron. Though the band can indeed slow down when they want to, they almost never do, and carry consistently through the short play length of EP 2019 at a marauding romp that sometimes speeds up into near thrash territories."

"Creatures of the Night is the tenth studio album by American rock band Kiss, released in 1982. It was the band's last for Casablanca Records, the only label for which Kiss had recorded up to that point. The album was dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early Kiss supporter, Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions. It is also the band's last album recorded with Ace Frehley, credited as an official member and their first album with Vinnie Vincent, as the initially uncredited lead guitarist. Vincent would later be credited but not featured on the cover of the 1985 reissue of the album. It was also Kiss's last album to feature the band with their trademark makeup until the release of Psycho Circus in 1998." -Wikipedia

October 25, 1992: Mortification - Scrolls of the Megilloth (single) - Nuclear Blast Records
This single comes from the album of the same name.
"Scrolls of the Megilloth is the second studio album by Australian Christian death metal band Mortification. It was released on 28 August 1992. The band's most famous release, this album is full-on death metal, with the thrash metal roots barely showing, and possibly their most extreme album to date. According to AllMusic, the album 'garnered the band some attention from the heavy metal underground' and contains 'some of the most frightening vocals ever recorded.' In 2010, HM (Heaven's Metal) Magazine ranked Scrolls of the Megilloth number 17 on the Top 100 Christian Metal Albums of All Time list with Van Pelt stating that 'Though the band has been living it down ever since, this album raised the standard of Christian grindcore to almost unattainable levels.'"

October 25, 2005: Demon Hunter – The Triptych - Solid State Records
"The Triptych is the third studio album by American Christian metal band Demon Hunter, released on October 25, 2005. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Emery, Fair) and mixed by Machine (Lamb of God), The Triptych had three different album covers—implying a traditional triptych—by Dan Seagrave. The album hit the No. 1 position on the Billboard's Heatseekers chart during its first week of release in stores, with 6,000 copies sold, and was re-released on October 31, 2006. The album was later included on Demon Hunter's Double Take (2007) and Death, a Destination (2011) compilations. Vocalist Ryan Clark described in a 2009 interview that, while the previous two albums had him record vocals with a standing, screened microphone, for The Triptych, he used a basic handheld mic. This allowed him to move around freely and hold longer notes; however, it also allowed Clark to naturally cup the mic, which consequently muffled or distanced his vocals.
The album received generally positive views and was a huge commercial success, reaching No 10. in the Top Christian Albums chart in 2005 and the No. 1 spot on the Top Heatseekers chart in 2006." -Wikipedia

RAMONES - "Judy Is a Punk" - RAMONES trailblazing rock and roll discography (1976 album Ramones)
Judy Is a Punk" is the third song from the Ramones' debut studio album released on April 23, 1976 by Sire Records. This is such a cheeky song. It makes fun of quite a few things. Rather than re-singing a second verse, Joey explicitly announces: "Second verse, same as the first..." and "Third verse, different from the first." Here again the Ramones are telling us that they don't like the pretentious 1970s fat, self-important, bloated rock music, that they prefer the upbeat, simple energy of the original rock and roll by explicitly quoting the line from Herman's Hermits’ “I'm Henry VIII, I Am." The Ramones also make fun of the rebellious youth, joining the Ice Capades as an absurdity but also a terrorist organization named the SLA (like joining the looting, stealing, violent street gangs of antifa, black lives matter, pro-hamas jew-hating gangs). What's going to happen to the violent punks? "Perhaps they'll die, oh yeah, Perhaps they'll die, oh yeah, Perhaps they'll die, oh yeah, Perhaps they'll die, oh yeah." The Ramones even added hand clappping because why not!
The Ramones ignited a massive fire in all of rock music, making fast songs the general mode of operation—a 29-minute lightning strike against pretentious, bloated, self-indulgent rock (like ten-minute in-concert bass solos) and disco. They stripped away the blues, prog, and pretension to return to the upbeat, fast energy of young American 1950s rock and roll and early 1960s American upbeat girl groups. The Ramones delivered catchy, melodic, rapid-fire tempos, buzzsaw guitar chords, no look-at-me solos, and minimalistic lyrics. They were returning to the original spirit of teenage American rock and roll and its culture: leather jackets, ripped blue jeans, sneakers, bowl-cut hair, 1950s movie street gangs, greasers, juvenile delinquents, and the disaffected, bored, suburban teenage outcast. Johnny Ramone once said, "When you think of who punks are, they're greasers, people who didn't fit in, but they didn't back down either. Who above all, love America." To Johnny Ramone, anti-Americanism, anarchism, anti-patriotism, political violence, and resentment—all those types of discourse—were literally foreign to his American way of thinking, much like the way British punk rock completely misunderstood the Ramones.

SAXON - "Judgement Day" - SAXON heavy metal discography
According to The Metal Archives, May 21, 1979 is the release date for the self-titled debut album by Saxon. "Judgement Day" is song number four on the album. This particular song is such a treat: It has four big elements that make it a great listen. It has that heavy rock, heavy metal big energy, and then it switches to an atmospheric-mellow segment totally changing the feel and making it work so well. Then, just when you thought you knew what was up, the song for a third time switches over to a huge blues rhythm. This switch, as a general Saxon way of writing songs, is certainly one of my favorite characteristics of Saxon. This switch, this change, it's such a good move. Finally, you know it, it's time for the guitar solo, and Saxon once again shows us in full view without any ambiguities that Saxon heavy metal is actually ... wait for it ... it's the unsaid part about Saxon ... the thing that is always there ... that Saxon is a blues band. Yes, a blues band. A heavy metal blues band. Awesome!

I agree with the sentiment expressed by this reviewer over at The Metal Archives: Comeback completed - 95% - MaidenMartin, August 25th, 2021. "All I can say is WOW! The fact that this album was written over 20 years into their career shows that Megadeth are the real deal and that when they pull things together and are focusing on the right things, they can bring some truly special music to the world. In my opinion, this is not only one of the best Megadeth albums but also one of the best albums of the 00s overall. What an incredible achievement!"
Wikipedia shows for this album: Endgame (sometimes stylized as ENDGAME) is the twelfth studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth. It was produced by Andy Sneap and Dave Mustaine and released through Roadrunner Records on September 15, 2009. Endgame was the first album to feature guitarist Chris Broderick, following Glen Drover's departure in 2008, and was the band's last studio album with bassist James LoMenzo until he rejoined after 2022's The Sick, The Dying, and The Dead, as original bassist David Ellefson rejoined the band several months after Endgame was released.
There are eleven tracks on the album, with lyrics inspired by subjects ranging from The Lord of the Rings and the Great Recession of 2008, to insanity, torture and crime. Two singles were released from the album: "Head Crusher" and "The Right to Go Insane"; the former was nominated for "Best Metal Performance" at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Endgame entered the Billboard 200 at number nine, and reached number one on the U.S. Top Hard Rock Albums chart. As of April 2011 it has sold about 150,000 copies in the U.S. The album received positive reviews from music critics, and was thought to continue the success of the band's previous album, United Abominations (2007). In 2009, it won two Metal Storm Awards: Best Thrash Metal Album and Biggest Surprise. It was also awarded Best Album in Burrn! magazine's 2009 Readers' Poll.

"After more than 37 years of active (!) service, the musical concept of the band is still firmly rooted in the golden ‘80’s, though remains far from being a mere copy-cat of the forefathers of extreme Metal. Do not make the mistake to file Pentacle under any retro-trend. They started performing their music when only a selected (and loyal) audience was interested in this honest style of music. While others sailed the seas of successive trends, Pentacle did not. Together with an obscure, yet individual lyrical approach, the band always worked hard to create a personal style, based on ancient Metal values. Remember this when listening to Pentacle’s releases… DON’T FORGET THE ANCIENT FEELING…IT STILL RULES!"

October 23, 2026: Jernlov - Redemption - Nordic Mission Records
Bandcamp about this album: JERNLOV provides melodic black metal to the masses, a genre Norway has mastered better than anyone. Tremolo storms and blast beats collide with wide melody and hymn-like clean passages. Fans of Vreid, Cor Scorpii and Slechtvalk will feel immediately at home: blackened ferocity that never forgets to soar, frosty riffs; but warmth burning underneath. The music is built on contrasts - and so are the lyrics. Across the album it contemplates mortality, fear, guilt, the philosophy of life, despair and hope. The album takes advantage of its list of quality vocalists, giving you death metal growls, black metal screeches and thrashy riffs in the Western Norwegian fashion we have all come to love.

(Based on the version of the CD that I have, the two tracks are divided at different time marks, compared to what The Metal Archives shows.) Personally, I really like this bluesy, melodic song. It's different from the stereotype or image of early Saxon as an aggressive, angry heavy metal band.

October 22, 1945: birthday - Leslie West [Leslie Abel West (Weinstein); October 22, 1945 – December 23, 2020]
Wikipedia says:
Mountain was an American rock band formed on Long Island, New York, in 1969. Originally consisting of vocalist-guitarist Leslie West, bassist-vocalist Felix Pappalardi, keyboardist Steve Knight, and drummer N. D. Smart (soon replaced by Corky Laing), the group disbanded in 1972, but reunited on several occasions prior to West's death in 2020. They are best known for their 1970 smash hit song "Mississippi Queen", which remains a staple of classic rock radio, as well as the heavily sampled song "Long Red", and their performance at Woodstock Festival in 1969. Mountain is one of many bands commonly credited with influencing the development of heavy metal music during the 1970s.The group's musical style primarily consisted of hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal.

October 22, 1969: Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II - Atlantic Records
"Led Zeppelin II was not well-received by contemporary music critics. John Mendelsohn wrote a negative review of the record for Rolling Stone, in which he mocked the group's heavy sound and white blues" -Wikipedia
BUT the American rock fans did not care for all the negativity and jealously towards Led Zeppelin because Wikipedia also says:
The album was released on 22 October 1969 on Atlantic Records, with advance orders of 400,000 copies. The advertising campaign was built around the slogans 'Led Zeppelin – The Only Way to Fly' and 'Led Zeppelin II Now Flying'. In the United States, some commercially duplicated reel-to-reel copies of Led Zeppelin II made by Ampex bore the title Led Zeppelin II – The Only Way to Fly on their spine. Commercially, Led Zeppelin II was the band's first album to hit No. 1 in the US, knocking The Beatles' Abbey Road (1969) twice from the top spot, where it remained for seven weeks. By April 1970 it had registered three million American sales, whilst in Britain it enjoyed a 138-week residence on the LP chart, climbing to the top spot in February 1970. Meanwhile, the album reached the top spot in 5 other national albums charts (including the Canadian, Australian and Spanish albums charts). In November Ritchie Yorke reported in Billboard that while the album had achieved "staggering" sales, as a hard rock record it was considered unsuitable for North American Top 40 radio stations, who were "dreary and detached from the mainstream of contemporary rock music".
The album also yielded Led Zeppelin's biggest hit, "Whole Lotta Love". This song reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1970, after Atlantic went against the group's wishes by releasing a shorter version on 45. The single's B-side, "Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)", also hit the Billboard chart, peaking at No. 65 in April 1970. The album helped establish Led Zeppelin as an international concert attraction, and for the next year, the group continued to tour relentlessly, initially performing in clubs and ballrooms, then in larger auditoriums and eventually stadiums as their popularity grew.

"Empiricism is the fifth studio album by Norwegian progressive metal band Borknagar. It is their first studio album to feature Vintersorg frontman Andreas Hedlund on vocals and Jan Erik 'Tyr' Tiwaz on bass. It was also the last album to feature Jens F. Ryland on guitar until his return to the band in 2010." -Wikipedia
"Each of the songs flow extremely well, so you never skip a beat. Each of the songs has a little of everything: some sections are more guitar driven, some are more keyboard oriented, and there are always spaces open for Asgeir's drumming to shine, or Vintersorg's great vocal work to take center stage, and, in the case of Four Element Synchronicity's bridge section, even for a bass/piano duet by Lazare and Tyr. It's an excellent album for black metal fans, and progressive metal fans alike. One of my all time favorites." -Progressive mastery - 96% Dark_Mewtwo1, May 2nd, 2006 - The Metal Archives

October 22, 1948: birthday - Les Carlsen (Claude Leslie Carlsen) (singer for Bloodgood 1984-1994, 2002-2022
Wikipedia shows that BLOODGOOD was formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1983. They were an American Christian metal band spearheaded by local musicians Les Carlsen and Michael Bloodgood. Alongside Barren Cross, Leviticus, and Whitecross, the group emerged by 1988 as one of the top four major Christian metal acts outside of Stryper's mainstream breakthrough. Famous for their theatrical and high-energy stage performances, their visual style and presentation often put them at odds with fundamentalist Christian factions. Looking back on their impact in 1998, critic Brian Quincy Newcomb noted that the band's music and outreach played a crucial role in advancing the evolution of Christian rock.

Corpses, ruins, killing - the world bleeds
Opression? A leader? Warplans? In our land?
Freedom? Justice? Equality is what counts!

Disgusting smiles, defame - oh, so nice
If you don't know better? Please, shut up!
