celebrating Thomas Jefferson, an American Founding Father - an inspiration to American patriotic rockers
Wikipedia shows: "Thomas Jefferson (April 13 [O.S. April 2], 1743 – July 4, 1826) was an American Founding Father and the third president of the United States from 1801 to 1809. Jefferson was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence. He was a leading proponent of democracy, republicanism, and natural rights, and produced formative documents and decisions at the state, national, and international levels."
Jefferson was an accomplished violinist. It is said that he called it the 'favorite passion of my soul.'
ICED EARTH's creative force, Jon Schaffer, has often been inspired by the American ideas of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Jon's solo project, Sons of Liberty, has a song called 'Tree of Liberty' that directly quotes Thomas Jefferson.
TED NUGENT is also inspired by the Jeffersonian ideas of the 'Spirit of 1776,' the year of the birth of the United States of America."
