rewind: Sound Barrier

Sound Barrier was a heavy metal band from the United States during the 1980s. They started in 1980 in Los Angeles, California and in 1983 their debut was called Total Control. At this time they worked other influences into their heavy metal, but the 1986 album Speed of Light showed the band moving in a heavier direction. The album certainly has headbanging tunes with everything needed in heavy metal: good singing, rocking riffs, fast drumming and high energy. Unfortunately, due to the usual struggles that up-and-coming bands face, such as commercial growth that was not fast enough to be considered successful in the 80s, the band ended around 1987.
