May 19th: PROTOSEQUENCE

PROTOSEQUENCE now has two new songs available for listening at the Bandcamp link below. The band plays a groovy, djenty type of technical death metal. They chug and blast, and grunt and growl, their way through the four songs of the EP called A Blunt Description of Something Obscene that comes out on May 19th, 2020. The release is eight songs because they also include instrumental versions of the tracks. There are some unexpected things. For instance, the title track begins with melodic singing, which will catch you by surprise. It's not clear who is doing the singing, but it sure is a contrast from the pig squealing and vomiting sounds that constitute the majority of the vocals. Another example is the nasty bass lines all over the album, some of which are kind of funky. At any rate, fans of animal-farm-noise extreme metal should be as happy as pigs in mud with this young Canadian band. Check the official propaganda for all the hype below.
Edmonton (AB) - Modern Death Metal quartet PROTOSEQUENCE will release A Blunt Description of Something Obscene May 19 on Lacerated Enemy Records. We can't wait to hit the road, and see what our future with LE holds." Recommended for fans of Job for a Cowboy, Black Crown Initiate, The Faceless, Rivers of Nihil, and Signs of The Swarm.
