Archmage
In the Seattle area some of the local, concert-going fans of traditional heavy metal have most likely heard the music of Greyhawk, or they have seen Greyhawk playing live, or at the very least have seen the name of the band or the pictures of the band.
One of the Greyhawk guitarists, Jesse Berlin (pictured below), is also in a neo-classical/symphonic shredding instrumental power metal project called Archmage. The project consists of Jesse and Andrew.
If you would like to hear some exquisite melodic, shredding guitar playing, then be sure to check this project. It would be very surprising if you did not find it to be very pleasing.
From conversations with this publication, we can tell you that Jesse has told us that he loves Bach and Baroque music. In fact, if we are not misremembering, Jesse has told us very clearly that Bach and Baroque music is the pinnacle of music, in his opinion. We mention this little anecdote to let you know what type of quality of guitar playing you are going to hear with Archmage. Apparently, the other half of the project, Andrew, lives in New York, while Jesse lives in Washington state.
