out May 22: Féleth

Listen to three audio tracks from the Norwegian deathcore band Féleth's May 22 album Depravity. Metal Archives says that the band has been around for about five years and that this is their debut album, having previously done en EP and a single. The album is the sound of a young band playing deathcore while pointing in some death metal directions, and most of all, just keeping things heavy, grooving and brutal. Here in the U.S. metal fans have expectations, images and stereotypes about the term "Norwegian metal,' and be that as it may, but the younger metal fans here in the U.S. would find that this band speaks their musical language of breakdowns, low string plucking, grooves, growling and all those things that U.S. deathcore bands are known to do. How's that for "Norwegian metal"?
Biography: Holding the Death Metal candle ablaze in the far north, Féleth create pounding, brutal and intricate music. Heavy riff driven songs, interleaved with intense melodic guitar playing and extreme Deathcore inspired growls display a modern take on traditional Death Metal like Cannibal Corpse, Death and Morbid Angel.
Renowned in Finnmark for their energetic, tight as hell and light hearted performances, they are roaming south to spread the message of the covenant.
