Here we have a young band that does not seem so weighed down by strict genre rules. They sound like a band retooling post-2010 North American extreme metal. Thrash, death metal, metalcore, melodic death metal, shredding, tech-metal, it’s all in there in some degree, and it does not seem forced or unnatural. There is a certain pastiche at work, but the music is consistent from song to song. Again, it’s a bit of multilayered bundle of a sound, but it’s rounded out well. It has very shrieked vocals, and the vocalist has put a lot of effort into making an intense vocal style. The shrieked vocals are contrasted with some death grunting, and in a few spots, there are brief jabs of metalcore/hardcore semi-spoken shouty words. In total, the shrieking and grunting are by far the main vocal styles, and it’s important hear it for oneself to judge it.

To whom would this Canadian band appeal? While this is not old-school thrash, wouldn’t the headbanging and riffapalooza be something to check? Maybe! Would the intensity, speed and the vocals appeal to fans of the extreme? Fans of The Black Dahlia Murder would very likely enjoy this band. The tech-metal and the shred aficionados are potential new fans. This is a good example of the post-2010 North American extreme metal sounds. omniarch.bandcamp.com/releases
