Fallujah (U.S.): The Flesh Prevails (Unique Leader Records)

Fallujah = the new kings of emo deathcore. Layers of the younger public have taken on the band as one of their own. The press also has received the music very well, I general. Deathcore/post-hardcore as Fallujah interprets it, is a heavier version of the heavy/light idea of Linkin Park’s “rock + pop” style: Fallujah does the chugging hardcore sounds, and adds in pop/ambient melodies. This style has hit the nail on the head for a lot of people, due to the pop/emo/electronic melodies. It is not an accident that some are going positively bonkers over Fallujah; the band and its team (record label, recording folks) are well aware that they are on the rise. Fallujah is going to make Unique Leader Records rich!
