Metalurgia: instrumental metal from the Dominican Republic

Biography: Metalurgia began as a solo project by bassist Guillermo Armenteros in which he gathered a group of musicians (Francis Cronox on guitars & Alejandro Chahin on drums) in 2012 to record an album at JDS Studios called “Aleaciones”, which ended up being released in 2013. It wasn't until winter 2015 when he decided to record a new album. After composing all of the songs with Mario Ventura (drummer with whom he had collaborated in the past) both decided to record. They recorded all of the songs at Yael’s studio. Carlos Yael himself recorded all of the guitars on the second album, called “Elementos” (Daniel Acosta doing guest solos). Yael then moved to Texas, and Miguel Sosa & Daniel Acosta decided to join the band.
