The Italian power metal band’s fourth album is somehow way more memorable than it should be, considering that their third album is from 2019. They return with another illustration of what European-style joyous power metal sounds like in 2020. The singing is high, the melodies are happy, and every song seems to be written like it is meant to be a hit with the dedicated fans of the genre. Repeated listens reveal that they are hitting their stride as band, and they might be hitting their peak in the present years. Fans that like big choruses and super catchy happy metal will need to put this album on the “must check out” list. The album seems to have only one song that is a true power ballad, and the rest is generally very uptempo and full of a feeling of fun songs to put their fans in a good mood. It is high time that fans of polished European power metal that have not heard this band rectify in 2020. The one potential turnoff for some fans will be the computerized drum sound, which is the “normal” sound for lots of metal in 2020. Undoubtedly, this is a drawback, especially for those fans that pay attention to the drumming, the drum sound or that demand real, live drums. At any rate, fans of anthemic power metal should not miss hearing this album. It is some 55 minutes of super catchy songs.
