Out this week: Ragehammer
Fans of raging old-school black metal and thrash metal mixed together, the Polish band Ragehammer will return with their second album called Into Certain Death. This is nothing but intense, fast music for headbanging as metal as possible. Imagine Slayer and Darkthrone making an album together somewhere in Poland, and that will give fans an idea of what to expect. Speed and intensity, and then a lot more of it for 45 minutes.
OFFICIAL INFORMATION: Ragehammer formed in 2011 in Kraków, inspired by the Gods from Venom, Sodom, Bathory and Impaled Nazarene, aimed at everyone and everything that is holy and correct. From their first demo "War Hawks" (Mythrone Promotion, 2012), through the full-length debut album "The Hammer Doctrine" (Pagan Records, 2016), from the early gigs in local pubs and clubs, to sharing stages with such metal heavyweights as Deströyer 666, Angelcorpse, Toxic Holocaust or Cannibal Corpse, the almost-decade-long path of Ragehammer seems clear as ever before: raw, warlike Black/Thrash Metal, without compromises, unnecessary distance or mercy. After 4 years of studio inactivity and a year-long live hiatus, the band returns in the same lineup to once again spit with scorn at the trend-ridden scene, where aesthetics took over the ethics. This time they charge Into Certain Death. "Into Certain Death" consists of 10 slabs of sonic violence with variable pain levels in the characteristic of sincere and brutal blackened thrash metal style which continues the path Ragehammer chose when starting in 2011.
