remembering Sanctuary guitarist Sean Blosl on his birthday: May 26

Sean Blosl (May 26, 1966 - August 26, 2024) and his cousin Lenny Rutledge formed Seattle band Sanctuary, and according to The Metal Archives he was with Sanctuary from 1983 to 1990. He was with the band for the first two albums, 1987's Dave Mustaine-produced debut "Refuge Denied" and 1990's "Into The Mirror Black".

Lenny wrote at the time of Sean's death in a vehicular accident, "Sean was my cousin, but to us we were much more like my brothers. We had a musical dream when we were kids that became a reality. Without Sean by my side I don't know if I would have had the opportunity to make this musical journey."
