The Canadian symphonic melodic death metal band ATAVISTIA has a new album coming up in 2026, and below what they say about it.

We’re proud to announce our new full-length album, ”Old Gods Awaken”, out May 15, 2026. Our folkiest material yet, the album represents the first half of a two-album concept centred on returning to older ways of life. Before nature is silenced and we lose ourselves entirely. While maintaining our core sound, we pushed deeper into the early-2000's golden era of folk metal influences, expanded into multiple languages, and recorded with a variety of rare traditional instruments.
