Tower (New York) - Shock to the System

Traditional heavy metal band Tower (New York, New York, USA; 2015-2017, 2018-present) has two albums so far. The 2016 debut and this 2021 work called Shock to the System. The music is in the style of the second wave of heavy rock that rises in the late 1970s. Today it sounds like classic rock-based heavy metal that allows the drums and bass to have substantial space to do their work and to be heard by the audiences, that uses riff-based guitar work relying on memorable, rocking hooks and melodies, and that showcases powerful singing. In this case, the result is catchy songwriting and singing that is noticeably identifiable as a strong pair of lungs, a voice that projects.
This is the type of recording in which the music is not super computerized. For instance, if one listens to some recordings, the chorus sounds exactly the same every time because it is the same part copied and pasted. On this recording, after one spends a bit of time with this recording one will notice that the chorus might not sound identical every time. Therefore, it is not so-called perfect, and it is because the band clearly is making a statement about the way that they believe that their music should be recorded and heard. The singer wants us to hear the vocals this way, with small differences, details, minute things like intonations, so on and so forth. The band hopes that audiences will notice the difference. Their objective is to show that they prefer music that sounds played by real human beings, and not perfected so much by the technology that what we hear is not actually what they played. The band is saying to you and to me, "Can you tell difference with what we are seeking to do?"
It's a statement, isn't?!
