IKITAN - instrumental heavy rock from Italy
Power trio IKITAN (Italy) has some new music planned for December. They make instrumental proggressive heavy rock that focuses on groove and subdued melody. Without any vocals, the music goes at a very comfortable pace, in a meandering, scenic style of melodic heaviness. IKITAN is a laid-back heaviness that goes at a steady pace, the melodies have a way of giving the impression that everything is moving in a circle. Sometimes one gets the impression that an instrumental combination of 1970s blues rock, like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, could join with progressive blues rock, like Pink Floyd, and after a few iterations along the way through various tunnels of time travel maybe one could arrive at something like IKITAN's "post-rock." Maybe. Perhaps. Who knows. Maybe you do! Anyway, it's chill heaviness without any yelling or screaming to distract you from the music.
