this past Monday night: black metal in Everett, WA, U.S.: Sarcalogos, Sacrament ov Impurity, Power from Hell

by MMB
Black metal came to Everett, Washington state this past Monday 29th of August at Tony V's. The three bands were: Power from Hell from Brazil, Sacrament ov Impurity from Mount Vernon, Washington and Sarcalogos from the neighboring state of Oregon. All three bands put on a good show and they all sounded good, too. *

Sarcalogos is a two-person black metal band. Unfortunately, I do not have good pictures from Monday night's show for Sarcalogos, the band that opened the bill. If you are interested in two-person black metal, check out the band's latest recording at the link below. It is an EP and it is called Echoes of Silence. The picture below is not from the Everett concert. It is from the band's Facebook page. It is included here for references and information purposes only.

Sacrament ov Impurity is a two-person black metal band. At the show they played some new material from the upcoming album The Purest of Sins (I think that this is the name of the album that was announced, if I heard it correctly). Also, their album All the Colors of the Dark is from 2015 and you can hear the recording at the link below. These pictures here are ones that I took at the show. If you are interested in two-person black metal, be sure to listen to this band from Mount Vernon that began in 2007.

Below are some pictures of Power from Hell, a veteran band that has some nine recordings. They delivered a professional performance of Venom-Bathory black thrash black metal in the raw, occult style with a great energy! Really, everything sounded good for them this past Monday night: the heavy bass lines; the fast guitar solos and riffs; the awesome Cronos-Tom G. Warrior-Quorthon style vocals; and the pounding drumming. The audience really enjoyed themselves, including a little, but proud mosh pit that the band loved to see happening. The Hellhammer-Venom-Bathory/black metal-loving crowd loved Power from Hell! Here is a bit of visual evidence. By the way, if you support raw metal music, go their Bandcamp page and listen to them and bang your head!
