review: Reasons Behind -- Italian pop metal

Guitar-driven rock and roll and electronic/dance/pop music tend to be seen as two very different things on many levels. Concerts, radio, tv, publications, marketing, music labels, musicians and fans do not generally put them together. This Italian band, on the other hand, works on making a synthesis of both styles as their musical brand, a type of Lady Gaga or Beyoncé with guitars sound, if you will. It is not symphonic power metal, and it is not industrial, either. It’s bouncy, ear-friendly heavy metal with huge pop/electronic vibes. Would fans of electronic or pop music like it? Maybe not because this has too many guitars, too much rock, but you never know, but in Europe there is definitely a segment of the metal audiences (you know how those Europeans love Eurovision and electronic music) that enjoy this combination.
The singing is high, and the guitars provide a certain heavy rock crunch, but the feel is danceable, happy pop metal (in this case, “pop metal” as a hybrid, not just a description) to put people in a good mood. So, what do you think about the idea of Beyoncé-style singing with a rock guitar crunch. Is it time to dance yet?!
