RAMONES - "Let's Dance" (Chris Montez cover) - RAMONES trailblazing rock and roll discography

This is song number 12 from the Ramones' debut studio album released on April 23, 1976 by Sire Records.

With their cover of "Let's Dance," the Ramones sent a clear message to the world: they wanted to bring back the fun, fast, and simple spirit of 1950s American rock 'n' roll. Instead of following 1970s rock music of their time, with its long, boring 10-minute solos for guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards, the band interpreted the song down to its pure energy. By taking a classic teenage party track and playing it at breakneck speed, the Ramones made rock 'n' roll quick, exciting, and changed all of rock music.
