ANTIDEMON: Death Metal and Grindcore blend in the 25-year history of the band that has already reached 4 continents
The Brazilian band ANTIDEMON was born in January 1994 in São Paulo and has Batista (Bass and Voice) and Juliana (Drums).
With a dense and intense sound, the band takes on the strong theme of the lyrics and mixes characteristics of Death Metal and Grindcore, which makes Antidemon a reference in its style.
The debut album, entitled "Demonocídio", appears in 1999. Tracks such as "Massacre" and "Suicídio" gain prominence among the public as well as "Demonocídio", which is re-released in two collections in the United States, while in Brazil, the track “Viagem” is inserted in the CD insert of Revista Trip, edition 91. All this leads the band to a considerable projection. Soon the album is distributed in several countries and the invitation to the first international performance that takes place in 2002 in Mexico, where the second album, Anillo de Fuego, is also recorded.
Back in Brazil, under positive reviews from the public and critics, they went on a series of shows and festivals all over the country and, chosen among the 10 best bands in Brazil, in 2003 they participated in the 3rd edition of the Brasil Metal Union festival. In the same year they are nominated for the Dynamite Award in the category Best National Album with Anillo de Fuego.
The tours to several countries in South America would be just a preview on the Antidemon road. It didn't take long for the band to conquer Europe. The following years were marked by presentations in European territory, with emphasis on the III Destruction Fest, festival in London, at the fantastic house The Underworld in Camden Town.
In 2009 the album “Satanichaos” was born, marking the history of Antidemon with the opening of new doors in countries not visited until then, drawing the attention of Steve Rowe (Mortification), who invites the band to sign with his label, the Australian Rowe Productions. Thus, between May and April 2012, the band concentrated on just over thirty intense days at Estúdio Da Tribo in São Paulo, for the recording of the eleven tracks that gave life to “Apocalypsenow”, the fourth album by Antidemon, produced by Luís Ricardo Ciero, also responsible for the production of bands such as Torture Squad, Krisium and Ratos de Porão.
25 years on the road leading to more than 30 countries.
Four albums released: Demonocídio (1999), Anillo de Fuego (2002), Satanichaos (2009) and Apocalypsenow (2012) the latter with emphasis on the tracks “Não Tardará” and “Welcome to Death” which have clips with thousands of views . The DVD Tormenterror, recorded live in Santiago in 2017 and more diverse participations in collections around the world, provide the band over these 25 years, visiting 4 continents passing through more than 30 countries like Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, England, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Cuba, English Guiana, among others.
At the end of 2018 they begin the “25 YEARS OF ANTIDEMON WORLD TOUR” tour, passing through several cities in Brazil and South America, closing with a sequence of shows in the second half of 2019 with the sixth season in Europe, where they pass through Norway, Holland, Austria, Poland, Slovakia and other countries on the Old Continent.
The band returns to the studio to record their fifth album in early 2020 which will be released by the American label Vision of God Records.
