Norse - twisted metal entity streaming three songs
Currently the Australian dissonant extreme metal band NORSE is streaming three songs from the new album Ascetic, their fourth full-length album, and eigth overall, including their EPs. Essentially an unmelodic or even antimelodic form of prog extreme sounds, NORSE features left-field, sideways and even purposefully annoying guitar work/sounds that challenge the listener's attention. Thus, audiences that want to hear extreme metal that, in some important ways, goes against the idea of memorable songwriting, perhaps this album provides insight into the workings of the more difficult sounds, the type requiring patience and that forsake melody for harsh, noisy, angular sounds, the type that seem to have riff A jump to riff J, and back to C, only to jump ahead to T, in zigzag modes.
