If you do not have a spaceship to travel from this side of the universe to other dimensions, then while you work on building your spaceship you might as well listen to music about the galaxies. The music seems geared towards navigating the ships of time and fantasy. The songs are very friendly to the ear and that is a good thing because it balances the heavy/power side with the undeniable progressive aspects. While it is true that the music sounds intelligent and thoughtful, it has the potential, due to the melodies, to attract the more casual fans of traditional/classic songwriting that features singing, guitar and keyboard melodies in prominent ways.
To the knowledgeable fans of prog power in Russia, and probably especially in the Moscow area, this album is not a surprise, given that it is the English-language version of the 2017 debut album За гранью возможного (Za gran'yu vozmozhnogo). It is a new recording of the previous album and this features a new singer, and other line-up changes. Of course, the music is the same as the debut, and that was album was good. The main difference is probably the overall sensation that new version is more melodic, in the sense that the melodies seem sound a bit bigger or are a bit more expressive. Making the album in English simply makes it more accessible to broader audiences that might prefer or enjoy more the music in English. Maybe in the future the band will begin making their new albums in two versions, one sung in Russian and another sung in English. Anyway, fans of traditional, melodic heavy metal with progressive tendencies might discover a new gem. Expect catchy choruses, good guitar soloing and a good dose of keyboards.
