review: Decayed Flesh -- brutal death metal from Indonesia
Decayed Flesh
Eternal Misery
Brutal Mind
13 June 2020
The Indonesian band has one simple question for the listener: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you love brutal death metal? If you listen to it every day, you listen to it while you do school work, or while in the car/bus/train/airplane, or during your workout, or your alarm clock wakes you up with it, you go to bed listening to it, or you listen to it while you mow the lawn, fix the garage, do the dishes, brush your teeth, during your shower. If that is you, continue reading. This death metal trio offers a monolith of blasting brutality the likes of which the devoted fans devour joyfully. After the intro, it’s a festival of low growling, chugging and blasting. There are many advantages in this album: no melodies, no distractions, and no attempts to be anything other than nonstop death. Decayed Flesh is here to brutalize metal music, and to do it efficiently. A solid album for fans of love-it-all blasting death, and this is only the first album. Things can only get sicker in the future. Nice work.
