review: Mosh-Pit Justice (Bulgaria/U.S.) -- fifth album of thrash

MPJ is of Bulgarian blood, and their minds and spirits belong to thrash. It all began in 2012 with an EP and this is the fifth full-length album. MJP is melodic thrash in the ways of old, headbanging, no-nonsense, meat-and-potatoes metal. Think of workhorse bands like Anvil and Overkill that believe in the mentality of The Rolling Stones/Ramones/AC-DC: This is rock music, loud and dirty, like a rowdy bar band. MPJ is gang-shouting, uptempo, tight-riffed melodic thrash with vocals that are a tough shout-scream, and with the use of high notes, generally at the end of phrases. This is for fans of old-school, DIY, back-to-basics melodic thrash and fast heavy metal.
