remembering Crimson Glory singer Midnight

The Metal Archives shows that his name was John Patrick McDonald, Jr. (April 29, 1962 - July 8, 2009). From 1983 to 1991, and again from 2005 to 2007, Midnight was the lead singer for the American melodic heavy metal band Crimson Glory {1979-1982 [(as Pierced Arrow), 1982-1983 (as Beowulf), 1983-1991, 1999-2000, 2005-2013, 2023-present)}. Crimson Glory helped put progressive and power metal on the map back in the late 1980s. Midnight had a very impressive vocal range and high-pitched screams. His singing on albums like Crimson Glory and Transcendence are a testament to his skills.
