Italian melancholic dark metal band Shores of Null released their first-ever live album, Beauty Over Europe, in May 2025. The record marks a significant milestone in the band’s journey, capturing the intensity, atmosphere, and emotional depth of their acclaimed live performances. Featuring 10 carefully selected tracks, the album was recorded during their long 2023 European tour in support of their critically praised studio album, The Loss of Beauty.

The 2023 tour saw Shores of Null sharing the stage with fellow masters of doom and melancholy—Swallow The Sun, Draconian, and Avatarium—on a run that spanned 35 shows across 18 countries. From Norway and Denmark to packed venues in Germany, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Hungary, the band delivered powerful performances night after night. These shows not only introduced their haunting blend of melodic doom, post-metal, and blackened atmospheres to new audiences but also reaffirmed their place in the upper echelon of the European dark metal scene.

Beauty Over Europe offers a vivid snapshot of that unforgettable tour. The album highlights the band’s ability to translate the somber beauty of their studio recordings into a gripping live experience. Tracks are filled with sorrowful melodies, heavy riffs, and frontman Davide Straccione’s signature deep, emotive vocals, resonating with themes of loss, solitude, and introspection.

“This tour was an incredible journey, the longest in our career, and a true milestone for Shores Of Null. As the promotional tour for The Loss Of Beauty, our latest and most acclaimed album to date, it was an honor to bring these songs to life across 35 shows in 18 countries. Sharing the stage with monumental bands like Swallow The Sun and Draconian—huge inspirations for our music—was unforgettable. Despite the melancholy of their sound, they’re some of the most fun and genuine people we’ve met, and by the end of this epic journey, we were proud to call them friends. We owe special thanks to our incredible crew—Petri, Matti, Mikko, and Tero—who ensured everything ran seamlessly and made this experience unforgettable. To pay homage to this extraordinary chapter, we decided to produce a live album. Recorded during key moments of the tour, it captures the essence of these unforgettable performances and is dedicated to all the people who supported us live and shared these magical moments with us.”
