Deiquisitor began in 2013. By that time the founding members were already old hands in other bands, some of whose origins reach back to 1991 and 1992, according to Metal Archives. With the exception of 2015, Deiquisitor has at least one recording for every year beginning in 2013. This six-song EP is devotion to basic, chugging brutal blasting death, with a raw, bestial execution. Here and there, they have a couple of miniscule very brief “solos,” but other than those fleeting seconds, the guitars are too busy chugging to bother with soloing. The bass guitar rumbles away paired up with the speed-obsessed drumming, and the low growling functions like a part of the rhythm section. In some places, vocal special effects come out for emphasis. The whole thing sounds like a big, frantic rush of brutal rhythm. Then, before you know it, it's over in some 25 minutes. They have cut out the fat: no melodies, no real solos, no introductions, no intermissions, no quiet breaks, no nothing. Fans of bestial death should be interested in these Danish cave dwellers.
