Lizzy Borden is for fans of catchy legacy heavy metal with lots of vocal melodies. Since the 1985 debut album Love You to Pieces, the band has been known for lots of melodies on the guitar and especially in the singing. Named after the case an infamous accused axe murdereress, Lizzy Borden is a bit like a classic-style 1980s heavy metal version of Alice Coooper: super catchy songs about creepy topics! In the 1980s there were fans really devoted to this band, and that devotion continues to this day. As you know, "Best of" compilations do not offer much to the old fans of any band but can be a good introduction to new fans, and that is certainly the case here.
