Grimmride (Washington state, U.S.A.)
Grimmride seems inactive for a long, long time. Maybe defunct? Go to "Band Profile" on their Facebook page to hear their extreme metal.
Biography: It all started in 2005. I Jay Sullivan met up with a couple of guitar players at school and decided we wanted to jam. One of those guitar players are Colton Puzon who had an interesting taste in music at the time. We continued to jam and eventually lost touch with the other guitar player and we knew we should move on from there, seeing how we had the same taste in melodic heaviness. 2007 rolls around and Colton and I met up with some more guys with a similar interest in metal and we were all in on starting a band. Colton having living with my parents and I for the last year, now had a strong knowledge of metal and we knew the sound we were looking for. We jammed with those guys for about 8 months and had some VERY memorable times that will never be forgotten, but in the end, once again, it was just Colton and I. After we parted with our bass player in december 08, Colton and I knew what we had to do. January 09-may 09 we concentrated on making music and getting recordings for people to hear and hopefully find people with like interests. At the end of June 09, after parting with another vocalist, we met with Eric Meadows (formerly of HELLFYRE EMPYRE) and after jamming with him two times, Colton and I looked at each other and said "wow, we're going somewhere with this." About three weeks later, we met with Brad(THE FLOBOT) Morris, who Colton had known in high school and i had seen here and there, but would have never thought he was into metal, let alone want to be a metal bassist! He came down and absolutely tore our faces off and it was basically an instant yes! One practice later we played a backyard show with him and 8 practices later he played our first venue show with us and it could'nt have gone more solid!lineup has changed a few times now but Sullivan, Puzon and Morris still holding strong with new vocalist Vance Bratcher(Six Days Of Darkness).
