ABOUT: Acid is the name, heavy metal is our game. In the early 1980’s, Acid were pioneers of speed metal and female-fronted metal, long before these terms existed. And then in 1986, unexpectedly, it was all over. Throughout the decades that followed, Acid’s original take on merciless metal with female vocals was never forgotten. To celebrate its musical legacy, the band finally returns to the stage. Now, a mere 34 years after their final show, Acid plan a triumphant return to the stage offering the younger generations the opportunity to see the band live. Original drummer Geert ‘Anvill’ Ricquier is backed by some of the biggest Acid fans – and finest musicians –from the Belgian scene. Celebrating the musical legacy of Acid, the band will play a couple of hand-picked festival dates throughout 2020-2021. NOTE: "The band's status is currently disputed. They made a statement on their Facebook page that singer Kate de Lombaert had left the band and that they'd continue with drummer Anvill as the sole original member. This was countered by a post from the Keep it True festival who stated Kate will be playing the 2021 edition of the fest with her own version of Acid."
