review: Sepsiss -- U.S. contemporary melodic metal
Sepsiss

Compact, concise and catchy contemporary songs defines the sound of Sepsiss. Their songs sound like they are writing hits. One thing that comes across well is their enthusiasm, and their fresh take on contemporary U.S. heavy rock with commercial potential for fans of melodic metalcore, new nu metal, and U.S. melodic heavy rock in general. They have melodic singing and some screams, although it is the singing that they emphasize as their primary style, with the screamed vocals in a consistent supporting role. They feature a bit of an old-school guitar tone, a metallic guitar tone that has riffs; therefore, this is not all grooves and chugging. They do have riffs, often a cross between metalcore, thrash and melodic extreme metal. You’d be surprised how heavy metal a lot of the riffs sound, and that’s a positive thing for the metal fans. The other aspect to keep in mind is that this band wants you to hear the song and understand it quickly. Their catchy, pop orientation in the songwriting, and especially the singing, should convince listeners that want to hear the newer, contemporary U.S. commercial metal that in the future might experience a substantial level of success.
