three bands from Taiwan: 冷 (Laang); 五辰屍變 (Wuchen Shibian); Taisuei
These are three bands from Taiwan. Laang冷 is black metal, along the lines of symphonic extreme metal, while 五辰屍變(Wuchen Shibian) is brutal death metal for the sickos, and Taisuei is instrumental melodic metal, for those looking for something more mellow and pleasing.
"Laang 冷 is an atmospheric & terror black metal band from Keelung City 基隆市 Taiwan, born from horrifying experiences of what lies beyond life by the band’s sole member Yang Haitao after being shot in the head during a car-jacking gone wrong nearly a year ago. During the following weeks after being shot, Haitao experienced what he can best describe as “a place beyond Hell” while in a coma in the hospital. This world beyond death that he experienced was one of incomprehensible terror and desolation beyond explanation. The band’s debut album Hǎiyáng 海洋 encapsulates this horrifying otherworld of emptiness, inhuman madness, misery, and crushing terror."

五辰屍變 (Wuchen Shibian)
This is a nine-minute recording of brutal, guttural death metal. This publication does not have much information and the Bandcamp link does not have much, either. Either way, this is for fans of the super guttural vocals, blasting and some slower parts of heaviness. Of course, the lyrics must be totally reprehensible, just like the fans of the subgenre like!

Taisuei is instrumental. The music is pleasant and melodic; very easy on the ears of those looking for something more relaxing. Below is the link to the most recent recording called Concepts. Bandcamp does not show much information, but the entire recording (13 minutes) is available there. Bandcamp does show two other previous recordings, which at times, show a harder side of the music, a more headbanging pace in some places. The 2019 is a bit more melodic and laid back, highlighting a different side, not so much power metal like the older sounds. In any case, it's a good listen for fans of DIY melodic sounds.
