NEWS: upcoming in August: SACRILEGE: The Court of the Insane
NEWS: The resurrected Sacrilege is a British band that was active in the 1980s. There are other bands named Sacrilege, including another British band with the same name, but this one is the one that plays traditional heavy metal. Metal Archives shows that they recorded at least three demos in the 1980s before dissolving. On the 2nd of August, 2019 they will have their seventh album ready and it is called The Court of the Insane.
After some early listening to the album, this publication can report the following news about it. The album has a solid production in which you can hear all the instruments, including the bass guitar rather clearly. The 2019 album is traditional heavy metal with singing and with a good amount of classic rock catchiness and the feel of anthems for headbanging. The singing is the sounds of an older gentleman with a good, solid, strong midrange voice that is accessible and easy on the ears. The music should be of interest for fans of midtempo, rocking heavy metal and also fans of classic rock in general.
Below is the relevant official information regarding the band and album. So far there seems to be only one song available for fans to hear. That song is available below.

Biography: Founder member and Lead guitarist/Songwriter and vocalist of 80s Heavy Rock band Sacrilege. Now back writing again and working on new material. In the 80s we played many venues such as the old Marquee in Wardour St. London, also played on the David Jensen show with U2 and the Stranglers. From the TV appearance followed a UK tour of smaller venues finishing with that Marquee gig. We always had a stage show no matter whether it was a pub, club or festival. Fans might remember the real Long dry grass we had all around the stage, the cobwebs over the drum kit,the explosions, dry ice and 4x12 cabinets with crosses and smoke pouring out of them (not the norm for a small Pub Gig!!). Stopped playing for about 25 years but now back writing and playing "live" again with three great musicians in Neil Turnbull, Jeff Rolland and Paul Macnamara. See you very soon.
