NEWS: Xoth
Seattle shred extreme metal band Xoth wants headbangers to know that they appreciate the support that they have gotten for their new album. Their announcement is a good reminder that if you have not checked out the album, right now would be a good time to get on it because the album made it to a whole bunch of top albums lists of 2016. They band says: "Hey there, just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported us by purchasing a copy of "Invasion of the Tentacube." We have sold over 500 copies since the release, which is great for a band our size. It may not be platinum, but you have made us feel like Journey nonetheless. What's next? We are already working hard on writing our next album, and are also getting a very sick package tour going for later this year. Really, thanks for your damn support! It means a lot, especially in an oversaturated market with endless choices. Now please go and spread the good word of Xoth."
Below you will find some relevant information about the band and the album.

This publication told you that this was coming and now it is here. The Seattle band's album already has been well received in some places, but listen for yourself and understand what is the total devotion to the shred. The album is being treated like hot stuff by some, but it's not difficult to see why. Dive in if you want to hear metal musicians play their instruments for real, while at the same time planting their feet in extreme metal. Here is the evidence that you can have your cake and eat it, too: Xoth has the extreme metal intensity that you want and the skill in instrumentation that you demand. If a band dedicates itself to delivering a serious work, how can you turn it down? You can't! This is it. You just ran out of all excuses. A band can play fast, can blast, be very memorable, add melody and sound strong all at the same time, and have black metal vocals, to boot. Lay your cards on the table, it's over, gamblers, show us what you got, cuz you got no more excuses left! Time to fold them and give in to the Xoth power. This is how you do it. Watch and learn, young ones. Learn your instruments. Stop wasting your time on other things. Get to your instrument and git'r dun!
OFFICIAL: Invasion of the Tentacube is XOTH's first full length record, and will be unleashed upon humankind November 10, 2016, to be immediately followed by a west coast tour spanning between Seattle, WA and Tijuana, MX. Invasion of the Tentacube will treat the listener to a powerful mix of brutal drumming, shredding dual guitars, slap bass, and catchy melodies, all encompassed within a dark cosmic theme. Featuring ex-members of PHALGERON, WARBRINGER, and LECHEROUS NOCTURNE, XOTH can be likened to a blend of BAL-SAGOTH, VEKTOR, ABSU, and OBSCURA. The members' musical backgrounds and personal styles of playing vary extensively, but blend into one eclectic band seamlessly. XOTH appeals not only to the aficionado of complex time signatures, key changes and melodic composition, but also to your good ol’ heavy metal enthusiast; someone just looking to headbang along to some tasty licks and groovy drum and bass. XOTH is plummeting through space and into the future, ready to bring the world the Seattle Space Shred it deserves.
BIO: In the year 2014, four musicians from different regions of North America came together in the Pacific Northwest to create XOTH, a band that captured their love of space, science fiction, Lovecraftian horror, and most importantly Shred. Their first EP, Hostile Terraforming, was self-released in July 2014 and was immediately followed by a short West Coast tour with MOBILE DEATHCAMP. After the success of that musical adventure, XOTH has booked and promoted two more tours on their own, every time gaining more loyal fans who recognize their passion and genuine way of connecting with crowds on and off stage.
The legion of XOTH is: Tyler "Tyster" Splurgis on lead vocals and guitar; Woody "Woodster" Adler on guitar & vocals; Ben "Benster" Bennett lead bass & vocals; Jeremy "Jemster" Salvo on lead drums.
