NEWS: Noctem
The extreme metal band Noctem (Spain) has a new album called Haeresis. The album is already out. Here is an official video for it.
OFFICIAL: Iberian extreme metal outfit NOCTEM unveil their highly anticipated fourth studio album entitled "Haeresis". Scheduled for release on September 30 via Prosthetic Records, "Haeresis" consists of ten brutally punishing tracks which conceptually delve into the dark history of their home country of Spain. Complimenting cover artwork, as seen above, was completed by Seth Siro Anton (Septicflesh, Moonspell, Behemoth) and depicts an epic and grotesque display of obscene torture extracted from the Spanish inquisition (1.500 A.C.). NOCTEM have carved a niche across the extreme metal scene with their grandiose dark visuals and vast, contemporary black metal. “Haeresis” sees the band taking their epic vision to the next level.
Noctem, consisting of Beleth (vocals), Exo (lead guitars), Ethell (rhythm guitars), Varu (bass) and Voor (drums), self-recorded and produced "Haerisis" earlier this year at Fireworks in Valencia before sending it to Sweden's Necromorbus Studio for mixing and mastering by Tore Stjerna (Watain, Valkyrja). The band collectively proclaimed; "This record is proof that a band like us can keep evolving with time. It looks, sounds, smells and tastes different from anything we've ever done while keeping our original essence in every track. We're sure that any fan of Extreme Metal will be satisfied with this new opus".
Originally formed in 2007, NOCTEM have built a loyal worldwide following via their previous three album releases, including 2011’s ‘Oblivion’ on Metal Blade Records. Their dedicated touring schedule has taken them Europe wide with Samael, Melechesh, Gorgoroth, Marduk, Immolation and Keep of Kalessin to name but a few. Orchestral collaborations with Christos Antoniou (Septic Flesh) and the monumental ‘Divinity’ video have further captured the band’s expanding aesthetic. “Haeresis” seeks to take this further…
