super slow and depressing: Laurasia Awaits Us (Finland): "Apathy Remains Victorious"
super slow and depressing: Laurasia Awaits Us (Finland): "Apathy Remains Victorious"
Laurasia Awaits Us puts out the call for an exclusive gathering of those into the sounds of funeral doom, drone, shoegaze, blackgaze, superslow music, with growling-screamed vocals in this particular case.
Sometimes you might forget the music is on, because not much is happening besides a few mellow background-type sounds, but the super heavy duty guitar riffs and the wild screaming always returns.
These two fellows can certainly seem obsessed with depressive sounds.
Are you a patient person with music?
Can you keep listening to slow music for a long time?
Do you want to "rock out"?
No, this is not for "rocking out," like...at all!
Here and there you might find a bit of melody, actually, believe it or not, but it's necessary to ride this thing out.
It is fun, but it is slow, despondent, depressive, misery-is-fun fun.
Please investigate ONLY if you had the patience to listen several times to the complete "Nostradamus" album by Judas Priest.
Clearly, this music sounds NOTHING like Judas Priest, but the fact that you were able to listen to that album a few times does say something about your level of concentration and your ability to stay the course in the search for the mystical powers of patience. Or maybe, it is other slow albums that you like. That's ok, the point remains: super slow depressing music.
And as to everybody else, go away!! Save yourselves before you discover that you like being depressed!!
This is miserable, miserable music. It is unbelievably miserable. It is also weird and good, almost fantastic in its weirdness.
