Zafakon (Puerto Rico) in Everett, WA on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017

Last night Zafakon played in Everett. This was the second time that they played in Everett. The band's take on extreme metal--sometimes thrashy, sometimes groovy, with melodies and a guitar-focused approach to the music--is fun to watch. They have worked on their live performance a lot and it shows. They are not a band "jamming" on the stage, they are musicians who know what everyone is doing and work together well. They can go from fast speeds to melodic segments rather smoothly. The guitar playing is important for Zafakon and the lead work shows a lot of skill and a lot of time spent working on the musicianship, as does the whole band, really. They delivered a professional performance and they seem very much like a band on the rise!
Below are some amateur pictures of the band in action. Below is the announcement of the band's summer tour in the United States, an announcement that this publication has already posted. Next for the band is shows in the West, Midwest and East Coast.
