Sarcotrofia

Extreme metal band Sarcotrofia (Mozambique) has done an update about some major line-up changes taking place.
It’s been a long, strange, wild, educational, fun and sometimes painful journey, and this is not a decision we made lightly or quickly. It may come as a surprise to a lot of you, but SarcotrofiA has been chewing on this for a while. The timing just seems right at this point. A musician’s carrier is not only made out of music, but also news. So today is one of the bitter news days. Without going into much further detail, the other members of SarcotrofiA (Nemesis, Mestre and Jubless) decided to step back and fall apart from the band to pursue a different paths in life.
We can’t thank you all enough for riding this thing through with us. There’s enough stories, gratitude, lessons and history embedded in this band at this point to write a book on the topic. Instead of a long-winded statement here we’ll let those things come out as time passes. Combining a normal life and a job became too stressful for some members to manage a SarcotofiAs heavy tour schedule. It is sad for the steps the band was taking, but, the band completely understands their decision and supports them in doing what will make them happy in life, ‘’of course, if there’s a such happiness in what they may pursue’’. We had 3 great years with the other members and we were like a big family together, so SarcotrofiA shows respect towards their decision, there is no need for any drama or heart attack! SarcotrofiA thanks to you guys for everything that you guys made in the past 3 years of the band’s history. It will always be unforgettable and marvelous, and we also wish you all the best in the next future.
SarcotrofiA together with Goro Fast (drummer), will be moving to Europe to focus on this musical project, record a full length album and plan a tour, with a full force to continue expanding the band’s involvement in the music scene and bring this exotic taste of GRP for the Metal heads all over the globe.
We will be announcing our new members very shortly and none of the shows of our tour will be cancelled because of this situation. We are working hard on the full length album and we intend to keep giving the maximum % for all you guys out there. We're really excited about this album, and at the same time, it's going to be our official 10-year SarcotrofiA anniversary—it might be even longer since we started jamming the GRP genre — we are diving in it with full-force and take things to the extreme because that's what SarcotrofiA has always been about.
It’s been great, people. Thank you all so much for the continued support and we hope to see you in the next attack. Keep GRP.
SarcotrofiA.
