the slowest, heaviest album of 2014? ever?: OMMADON (Scotland): V (Domestic Genocide)

OMMADON: V (Domestic Genocide)
It has become difficult for any one person, I think, to keep track of the slowest, most slothful doom in the world. I have a vague notion that this year in 2014 I have heard a handful of severely slow-motion, crawling doom bands. Then, just when one might think:
“This is it. Nothing will get slower than this. Ever.”
Then along comes another entity to make everyone reconsider.
Enter the Ommadon domain: two tracks; 1 hour and 26 minutes total; no vocals. Only slow, repetitive one-note sludging, droning, griming, sliming repetitive hypnotizations. Many, many ways to ponder this. It could be that this band played about 3-5 minutes in the studio. Then, as an experiment, they decided to loop, cut and paste those 3-5 minutes until it was very, very long. And then they fell over laughing at the ridiculousness they had created.
Maybe they are that disturbed, and did record this, without cutting and pasting. Well, you think you like doom, but this is beyond absurd.
Ommadon wants to take the cake. I think they might have done it.
I know you think I am overreacting. Dare you hear this? You won't be rolling your eyes and smirking once this band is through with you.
